The company Dexawave has for years worked to find a long-lasting solution on how to harvest wave power and convert it into electric power that can be saved and kept as a global power source. Many many companies before has tried and failed do to the many obstacles related to the technology. Firstly there is very varied conditions in the seas of the world. It is impossible to say if the water is deep or shallow, and also the conditions in the sea can be very though both for machinery and for calculation. The waves and weather can be so dramatic that it ruins the wave energy converter systems.

Also there is a lot of very strict regulations that need to be followed in order to get a clearance and launch a converter into the water. One other problem is that waves always change. It is not the same with windpower, where the wind always just blow one way at a time.

There is a lot of reasons why this energy source should be explored and developed. The capacity of wave energy is three times the size of the entire worlds consummation of energy. it is giong to be the biggest and most important energy source in the future, so the question is, how do we do it. One of the main things is that we can not expect one wave energy converter technology to match all conditions in the world. There will be around 3 or 4 different technologies to make the most of it.
